About Glypo.com
The race report section are from some of the bigger events. Race reports take considerable time to write, therefore I tend to only write these for the big meetings. They are never very long, so will just give you an insight into race, hopefully without boring you too much. The "Articles" section makes Glypo.com a little more distinctive. Here is covered a variety of different RC related subjects in technical detail. From "How It Works" articles to technical design, a lot has been covered. I try my best to break down potentially complicated problems into something simple which anyone can understand. The guides usually relate to common problems for newcomers but could also help some of the more experienced modelers. Of course I mention my projects here as well. The website is scripted and made by the author, therefore the images, code and content are all intellectual property of the website owner. Any breach of copyright is treated seriously. This is now Version 4 of Glypo.com and hopefully there will be many more. This website works well on all common browsers(with screen res of 1024px wide or greater) However we recommend Firefox for a safer, quicker and more secure experience. About Jason Moller, aka GlypoMy name is Jason Moller although I’m really better known in RC as Glypo. Glypo was a name that some friends and I came up with many years ago, we needed usernames for internet use (gaming, forums etc) so picked letters at random…. Glypo was the best I could come up with using my letters. It worked well though, it’s quite unique, so the username is nearly always free! The unique name has made it fairly easy to brand my website as well, making it hard to confuse with the others I'm an Aeronautical Engineering graduate just starting out in industry. Aeronautical Engineering is a fantastic subject as in encompasses such a huge array of sub topics. From the obvious such as mechanics, materials, computing, aerodynamics and propulsion through to project management and operations. I have been able therefore to experience many forms of different engineering in my studies and that's why I have written some of the more technical articles, so hopefully share this. My other interests include photography, hence the large gallery. Obviously aviation is an interest, and always has been. I have been to the Farnborough Airshow (the largest trade show, and one of the largest public displays in the world) near enough every time it has been on, thanks to being a local to this significant aviation town. Motor-sports also interest me, in particular Formula 1 and World Rally Championships. I enjoy the spectacle of drag racing however I don’t follow the champions as I do with F1 or WRC. Web design is another of my keen interests, many websites I have created or
played a part in creating can be seen on my portfolio. My interest in web design
is why this very website is here….. |
